Nature’s fury lashes Gurudwara at Manikaran Sahib Seven feared dead in land slide, many buried under the debris

Tuesday afternoon a heavy landslide hit Gurudwara at Manikaran Sahib. Seven people are feared dead and many more supposedly buried under the debris. Rains have lashed out the region and in the present tragedy the debris from village Gadagi are said to have fallen over Manikaran.


This pilgrimage place on the banks of Beas and Parvati rivers is a famous tourist spot. The landslide hit the langar hall of the Gurudwara and many were reportedly present at the time of mishap. Famous for the hot water springs, Manikaran in Himachal Pradesh is known for the Gurudwara where tourists come to pay respects braving the rain and long, hilly roads in the rainy season. The administration has sprung up the relief operations. The way to the shrine is blocked temporarily to better manage the rescue work.
